TWANGER
The Twanger design is a hatchet-shaped fin that redistributes the fin area into a narrow waist and a strong, wide base. Made with G-10 fiberglass, the fins are highly durable and have a refined foil, resulting in reduced drag and an ideal flex pattern. The fins are scored to limit damage to fin boxes and have a breakpoint at the tabs. The twanger style is an advantage at the river wave because the area is redistributed a quarter inch lower to reduce contact with the bottom.
The twanger gets its name from the way that it builds up energy in the turn and the hatchet head flexes and then springs or “twangs” you out of the turn powerfully.
CENTER
Compared to a traditional fin, the twanger in the center position allows you to get a lot of fin in a small package. The reason why the three sizes are all small sizes is because as a small fin it is very efficient, has increased stability and therefore there is no need for medium or large sizes. Smaller fins will offer the same effectiveness but with a smaller size and less drag.
